Job Description

At Olsson, our Traffic/Technology team specializes in delivering comprehensive traffic solutions tailored to our clients’ diverse needs. We handle traffic operation studies, pedestrian circulation studies, intersection improvement/design projects, traffic signal design, and signal timing expertise. We also work on pavement marking, street lighting analysis, DMS boards, bike/pedestrian/trail alignments, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The team undertakes complex projects, including citywide safety studies and signal system improvements.

As an Assistant Engineer, you will use CAD software to create design plans, perform traffic studies, and assist in traffic analysis. Responsibilities include designing traffic signals, roundabouts, pavement markings, signing, facilities for vehicular and multimodal users, and temporary traffic control. You will conduct traffic studies for various clients, evaluate safety and operational performance, analyze traffic data, and optimize roadway designs to improve safety and reduce congestion.
