Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. seeks a Transportation Engineer for our Cleveland, OH office. You will join project teams to analyze transportation impacts and design highway elements for diverse clients, from small centers to large developments.

You will collect data, run analyses, and help deliver designs for driveways, roadways, and traffic signals, engaging with clients and authorities across the project lifespan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification preferred.
• Familiarity with MicroStation/InRoads or similar transportation engineering design software.
• Previous internship preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform transportation impact studies and highway design plans for commercial, institutional, and residential clients.
• Collect data and perform analyses required to prepare an impact study.
• Design driveways, roadways, and traffic signals as part of transportation projects.
• Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials throughout project phases from concept to construction.
• Contribute to regulatory review, bidding, and project closeout for transportation projects.

Overview

As a Transportation Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Cleveland, OH office, you'll work with project teams to perform transportation impact studies and highway design plans for our commercial, institutional, and residential clients. From small, single-tenant shopping centers to regional shopping centers, you'll take part in collecting the data and performing the analyses required to prepare an impact study, as well as performing the design of driveways, roadways and traffic signals. Interacting with clients, contractors, local government officials, you'll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction, all the way to the grand opening.
