Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Transportation (Highway/Roadway) EIT/Coordinator to join our North Dakota team in Bismarck. You will contribute to detailed road designs and support project documentation across urban and rural roadway projects.

The role requires an Engineer in Training certificate, a Bachelor’s in Engineering, and familiarity with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, and related tools. This position offers career growth within HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• EIT certification and active participation in engineering culture.
• Proficient with roadway design software and standards.
• Strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team with project engineers on detailed roadway design.
• Manage alignment/profile, geometrics, drainage, and plan development estimates.
• Support creation/submission of technical reports, specs, and calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
