Job summary

Oak Haven Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Center Point, Louisiana is hiring a Transportation Driver (CNA) to safely shuttle residents to appointments and activities, assist with boarding, and maintain vehicle readiness.

This role requires a valid Louisiana chauffeur license with a clean driving record and current CNA certification. We offer medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO from day one, and on-demand pay options to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana chauffeur license with a clean driving record.
• Current CNA certification in Louisiana.
• Experience driving in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and able to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for residents to medical appointments and activities.
• Ensure trips are timely and efficient.
• Adhere to traffic laws to ensure resident safety.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report maintenance issues or incidents to supervisor.
• Assist residents with boarding and alighting, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Secure wheelchairs, walkers and other mobility aids.
• Maintain records of trips including times and destinations.
• Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare staff.
• Provide friendly and courteous service.
• Address concerns from residents or families professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide transportation for residents to and from medical appointments, social activities, and other approved destinations
2. Ensure trips are completed in a timely and efficient manner
3. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of residents
4. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
5. Report any maintenance issues or incidents to the supervisor
6. Assist residents with boarding and alighting, ensuring safety and comfort
7. Secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids
8. Maintain accurate records of trips, including times, destinations, and any incidents
9. Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and staff
10. Provide friendly and courteous service
11. Address concerns from residents or their families professionally

Qualifications:

1. Valid chauffeur driver’s license in State of Louisiana with a clean driving record
2. Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in State of Louisiana
3. Previous driving experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
4. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
5. Compassionate, patient, and able to work well under pressure
