Job summary

Intermountain Health in Maryland is seeking a CDL-A Driver to operate a semi-tractor and trailer, delivering equipment, packages, specimens and supplies across the Intermountain distribution network with strict adherence to DOT regulations and safety.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00am–10:30am, with alternating weekends as needed. Role includes loading/unloading, forklift operation, paperwork, and maintaining excellent service between facilities.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid class A driver's license with no restrictions and pass a DOT road test.
• A DOT Medical Card is required.
• 21 years of age or older as required by DOT to operate a CMV.
• Ability to use basic computer software and applications.
• Understand and follow department procedures and practices.
• OSHA Forklift certification; must obtain within six months of hire.
• Ability to load and unload carts and pallets.
• Safely operate forklifts in tight spaces during loading/unloading.
• Must have good vision, physical agility and motor skills.

Job description

Job Description: This position operates a commercial motor vehicle with a GVW greater than 26,000 lbs with trailers up to 53 feet in length. This position is accountable for the safe and courteous driving, delivery, loading and unloading (including safe forklift operation) of items to facilities in the Intermountain distribution network. This position will be responsible to operate a semi-tractor and trailer in compliance with all state and federal regulations, including required paperwork, safety checks and reporting of any maintenance problems. Works to provide an excellent distribution system between facilities and organizations within Intermountain Health.

Hours : 2:00am - 10:30am

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to safely operate trucks and equipment in all weather and light conditions and therefore must have good vision physical agility and good motor skills.
• OSHA Forklift certification, they must obtain the certification within six months of hire to remain in the position.
