Job summary

Hillcroft Services is seeking a responsible driver to join our team for a temporary role of about 22 hours per week. The ideal candidate will provide safe, door-to-door transportation for clients, with a focus on excellent customer service and reliability.

Responsibilities include assisting clients in boarding, operating wheelchair lifts, maintaining a clean vehicle, and communicating effectively with clients, caregivers, and dispatchers. A valid license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.
• Experience in transporting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lifts and securement systems.
• Lift 35 lbs occasionally and assist with mobility.

• Safely transport clients to and from various destinations, including home, social activities, and other essential services.
• Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Operate wheelchair lifts and securement systems as needed.
• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, and dispatchers.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for all clients.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record.
• Experience in driving and assisting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lifts and securement systems.
• Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop as necessary to the environment and have the ability to lift 35 lbs. occasionally.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
