Job summary

Belove It Care in Ohio is hiring a Full-Time Transportation Driver to safely transport adults with developmental disabilities to appointments and activities, providing compassionate support and ensuring safety.

You will operate company vehicles, assist with wheelchair transfers, keep schedules and passenger manifests, maintain clean vehicles, and communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and staff. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver license, and 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year of experience in transportation or related field.
• Experience transporting adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid Driver License is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles and comply with traffic laws.
• Assist with wheelchair transfers and luggage as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, including assistance with wheelchair transfers and luggage management
• Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, routes, and passenger manifests
• Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary supplies and equipment
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and office staff to ensure seamless transportation experiences
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education or training in a related field preferred
• 1 year of experience in transportation or a related field; experience working with vulnerable populations a plus
• 1 year of experience transporting adults with developmental disabilities to appointments and community activities while providing compassionate support, ensuring safety, and assisting with mobility and daily transportation needs
• Valid Driver License
• Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Working Conditions:

• $16 - $17 HOURLY salary
• FULL-TIME schedule
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
