Job description

Join to apply for the Transportation Driver role at High Hampton.

The Driver will be responsible for providing transportation to High Hampton employees between the Western Carolina University campus in Cullowhee and the High Hampton property in Cashiers. The role includes maintaining the cleanliness and routine upkeep of the shuttle bus, ensuring a safe, clean, and friendly experience for all transported employees. Flexibility is required as hours may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

We are looking for candidates available for either shift:

• Day shift: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Night shift: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

• Motivating oneself and others
• Reviewing daily schedules to determine transportation needs
• Providing safe transportation for employees
• Maintaining a courteous attitude to ensure employee satisfaction
• Communicating effectively with team members
• Ensuring cleanliness of the shuttle interior and exterior
• Operating vehicles safely according to weather conditions
• Following supervisor instructions
• Greeting employees politely
• Maintaining confidentiality
• Providing transportation for guests as needed, including airport trips

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with P endorsement

Additional skills:

• Effective communication skills
• Good judgment and decision-making abilities
• Ability to sit and drive for most of the shift

Work environment involves working on a 1,400-acre property.
