Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Transportation Drainage Engineer to join our Salt Lake City / Murray, Utah team. You will lead design and analysis of drainage systems for highways and transportation projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions.

The role involves hydraulic/hydrologic analyses, reports, and construction documents while mentoring junior engineers and engaging with clients.

Qualifications

BA/BS plus 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Experience with design software including MicroStation and OpenRoads.
Experience designing highway/roadway systems in CO, AZ or UT.
Familiar with MS Office (Excel, Word, Project).
Experience with PS&E and Schematic Development on transportation projects.
Experience with Business Development/Client Relations.

Responsibilities

Design and analysis of drainage systems for highways and roads.
Collaborate with environmental specialists and geotechnical engineers.
Prepare and review technical reports, design calculations, and construction documents.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
Represent the organization in client meetings and public presentations.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in transportation drainage.
