Job summary

My Ride to Work, LLC is hiring a Dispatcher to join our growing team. This essential role is the heart of our daily operations, bridging drivers, partners, riders and management.

This is a full-time position with great benefits and competitive starting pay of $18–$23/hour. You will dispatch drivers and vehicles on schedules, monitor locations, coordinate repairs, and relay timely information about traffic and road conditions.

Qualifications

• Dispatch experience preferred in transportation.
• Familiar with DOT regulations.
• FMCSA regulations and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay professional under pressure.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and vehicles for routes according to schedule.
• Review drivers' work for accuracy and compliance.
• Relay information to drivers and supervisors about traffic and weather.
• Arrange for necessary repairs to keep vehicles ready for operation.
• Coordinate vehicle movement with maintenance for in-town/out-of-town routes.
• Oversee communications within assigned routes.
• Monitor driver locations to optimize service and schedules.
• Prepare and distribute daily On Time Performance reports.
• Maintain fuel cards and logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

My Ride to Work is hiring a Dispatcher to join our growing team. Our Dispatcheris an essential part of our daily operations. We look at our Dispatchers as the “heart of the operation” and the person that bridges all communication between drivers, partners, riders and management. This is a full-time position with great benefits! This person will coordinate daily driving operations for our driving team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispatch drivers and vehicles for appropriate routes according to schedule
• Actively reviews completed work of drivers to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Relay information to drivers and supervising personnel to address questions, problems and advise of traffic issues, weather conditions, road closures and other hazards
• Arrange for necessary repairs to ensure vehicles are ready for operation
• Coordinates with maintenance regarding vehicle movement for all in town and out of town vehicles
• Oversee all communications within specifically assigned routes
• Monitor driver locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules
• Prepares and distributes daily On Time Performance reports
• Maintain all vehicles fuel cards and fuel logs
• Other duties as assigned
