Job summary

ISG is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer in La Crosse, WI to contribute to roadway design projects compliant with WisDOT standards. You will work with a project manager and ISG team to develop designs, specifications, and construction documents.

The role requires a bachelor's in civil engineering and 5+ years in transportation design, with proficiency in Civil3D and strong communication skills. Travel may be needed as projects progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 5+ years of transportation design experience.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Civil3D preferred.
• Ability to present complex technical concepts clearly.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and analyze data on roadway/transportation engineering projects.
• Prepare studies with associated drawings, maps, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Calculate quantities and prepare construction cost estimates.
• Prepare construction drawings.
• Prepare specifications.
• Conduct site visits and report findings to supervisory engineers and/or project managers.
• Assist project managers and more experienced engineers in ensuring project/task schedules and budgets are met.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely and accurate document or drawing preparation.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
