Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare is seeking a Transportation driver to operate a commercial vehicle and deliver equipment, supplies, and specimens between facilities. You will load/unload items, maintain safety, and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.

The role requires a valid CDL/driver's license (per policy) and DOT medical card, with a typical 40-hour work week Monday–Friday. Local Montana work at Billings facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• A DOT Medical Card and/or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• 21 or older as required by the DOT to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
• Pass a department-specific drivers road test as required by the DOT.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to follow assigned schedule.
• Demonstrated ability to use computerized tracking system.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and follow department procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a commercial motor vehicle with a GVW between 10,000 and 26,000 lbs.
• Transports equipment, packages, specimens, and supplies.
• Safely load and unload items by hand or with equipment.
• Maintain safety and awareness during all deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Manage time and priorities to meet delivery schedules.
