Job summary

The Maine Department of Transportation is seeking a supervisory maintenance professional in Alfred to oversee a crew engaged in highway, bridge, and heavy equipment maintenance and repair. You will plan, assign, supervise and inspect projects, manage records and budgets, and ensure safety practices under limited supervision.

The role requires a four-year combination of training, experience, and education with at least one year of lead worker experience, and state-specific licensing

• A four year combination of training, experience, and education in highway, bridge, and equipment repair and maintenance and/or construction including at least one year of lead worker experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, supervise, and inspect a variety of maintenance projects.
• Keep administrative records and develop budgets and reports.
• Monitor materials and supplies and ensure proper safety precautions; perform with limited supervision.
