Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Transportation Coordinator/Driver to load, transport, and unload patients for medical appointments and activities in a post-acute care environment. You will ensure safety and compliance with Life Care standards while delivering compassionate, reliable service.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, safe patient handling, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care. Strong English communication is required.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license or CDL with a clean driving record as per Life Care standards.
• Prior experience in health care or geriatrics preferred.

Position Summary

The Transportation Coordinator/Driver loads, transports, and unloads patients for medical appointments and activity outings in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, And Licensure Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license or valid commercial driver’s license in current State, as applicable, with a satisfactory driving record per Life Care standards
• Prior experience in health care or geriatrics preferred

Specific Job Requirements

• Complete pre inspections before use of vehicle
• Monitor regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
