Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Indiana is seeking a Transportation Coordinator/Driver. The role loads, transports, and unloads patients for medical appointments and activity outings using our company bus and requires a CDL license.

You will ensure safety, compliance with Life Care standards, and provide courteous service to patients. Responsibilities include pre-inspections, monitoring vehicle maintenance, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team while maintaining professional conduct

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Transportation Coordinator/Driver loads, transports, and unloads patients for medical appointments and activity outings in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license or valid commercial driver's license in current State, as applicable, with a satisfactory driving record per Life Care standards
• Prior experience in health care or geriatrics preferred

Specific Job Requirements

• Complete pre inspections before use of vehicle
• Monitor regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
