Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Denver, CO is seeking a Transportation Coordinator/Driver. This full-time, hourly position requires a CDL and entails loading, transporting, and unloading patients for medical appointments and activity outings in accordance with laws and Life Care standards.

You will perform pre-inspections, maintain patient confidentiality, and work as part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering safe, compassionate transportation and excellent service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license or valid commercial driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Prior experience in health care or geriatrics preferred.

Position Summary

The Transportation Coordinator/Driver loads, transports, and unloads patients for medical appointments and activity outings in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license or valid commercial driver's license in current State, as applicable, with a satisfactory driving record per Life Care standards
• Prior experience in health care or geriatrics preferred

Specific Job Requirements

• Complete pre inspections before use of vehicle
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care'sCode of Conductand completes mandatoryCode of Conductand other appropriate compliance training
