Job Responsibilities
  • Transport residents to and from medical appointments, activities, and shopping errands using community-owned vehicles
  • Read and follow the transportation schedule daily, ensuring all appointments are met
  • Provide flexible support for unscheduled transportation needs in emergencies
  • Monitor resident activity and alert staff when assistance is needed to ensure safety
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
  • Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and follow community policies
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Current Class F or CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Driving experience preferred
  • Passion for working with seniors is a plus
  • Ability to operate a van lift
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Comfortable working with residents with dementia
