Description
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Transportation Coordinator to oversee a team of rental car drivers. This position plays a critical role in managing the daily logistics of vehicle movements, ensuring timely pick-ups and drop-offs, and maintaining operational efficiency within a fast-paced rental car environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of rental car drivers to ensure safe and efficient transportation of vehicles between locations.
- Assign daily driving routes and tasks based on operational priorities and staffing levels.
- Monitor driver performance, enforce safety policies, and provide on-the-spot coaching.
- Communicate clearly with team and management to align vehicle movement with demand and workflow.
- Track vehicle inventory, mileage, fuel levels, and report discrepancies or maintenance needs.
- Ensure timely documentation of completed trips and accurate logs of vehicle movement.
- Maintain high safety standards and compliance with company procedures and traffic regulations.
- Assist with training new drivers and promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or vocational training in logistics/transportation a plus.
- Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. No more than 2 incidents/accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to drive a variety of vehicles, including box trucks.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency in using smartphones/tablets and transportation management systems.
- Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check and drug screen.
- Training in logistics/transportation a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments under various weather conditions.
Schedule:
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
