Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• 3–5 years of customer service experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, and walking.
• Willingness to work shift hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

• Maximize truck utilization while supporting cost control efforts
• Conduct tracking and tracing of deliveries and transportation equipment

• Ensure accuracy of carrier invoicing within transportation systems
• Support claims processes and maintain proper documentation for credits
• Analyze operational trends and assist with process improvement efforts
• Follow safety procedures and promote a clean, organized work environment
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned

About Your Role:

As a Transportation Coordinator at Dollar Tree, you'll support transportation operations by coordinating outbound shipments and ensuring accurate, timely communication across stores, distribution centers, carriers, and internal teams. Your work helps maintain service standards and operational efficiency. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Transportation Coordination & Execution:

• Coordinate outbound and backhaul freight assignments to support transportation operations
• Maximize truck utilization while supporting cost control efforts
• Conduct tracking and tracing of deliveries and transportation equipment
• Monitor carrier performance and ensure compliance with delivery protocols

Data Accuracy & Documentation:

• Perform accurate data entry across transportation systems
• Ensure accuracy of carrier invoicing within transportation systems
• Support claims processes and maintain proper documentation for credits

Operational Support & Compliance:

• Analyze operational trends and assist with process improvement efforts
• Follow safety procedures and promote a clean, organized work environment
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned

Your Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
• 3-5 years of customer service experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting, walking, standing, climbing, stooping, and kneeling
• Willingness to work shift hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Requirements:

• Familiarity with DOT regulations and driver hours-of-service requirements
• Experience working with transportation or logistics systems
