Job summary

Medline Industries, LP in McDonough, GA is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to answer OSIs, handle inbound calls from sales reps and Medline employees, and coordinate movement of products.

You will communicate with carriers, operations and the sales team, support scheduling and inside delivery initiatives, secure rush carriers as needed, and ensure transportation practices align with company policy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as Transportation Coordinator or related position.
• Knowledge of transportation practices.
• Basic understanding of statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Answer OSIs and inbound calls from sales reps and Medline employees.
• Determine modes of transportation for moving products between branches, facilities, or to Medline customers.
• Communicate with carriers, operations and sales, with some interaction with customers as required.
• Assist with department initiatives such as scheduling and inside delivery initiatives.
• Secure rush carriers and rescues as needed.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Primary goal of position includes but is not limited to answering OSIs, answering inbound calls from sales reps and other Medline employees.
• Determine which modes of transportation are to be used to move products or raw materials between branches, into our manufacturing facilities, or to Medline Customers.
• Communicate and interact with carriers, operations and sales team, as well as some interaction with our customers, as required.
• Assist and participate with various department initiatives such as the scheduling initiative and inside delivery initiative.
• Secure rush carriers and rescues, as needed.

Work Experience:

• At least 2 years exp experience serving as a Transportation Coordinator or related position.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Knowledge of transportation practices.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$21.25 - $30.75 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
