Qualifications

  • PMP or other project/program management certification is a plus.

We are searching for a strategy and organizational consultant to help clients execute against their mission effectively and efficiently and work collaboratively with our clients to help them work through their most pressing challenges. From implementing new policies to standardizing operations across offices, we work side-by-side with government leaders to solve important problems. We are seeking a management consultant with strong critical thinking skills, clear communication skills, and a desire to manage clients.* Participate in information gathering session with clients regarding organizational structure, process, technology, and culture* Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client* Draft, update, and/or quality-control edit SOPs, templates, and technical documents for client* Develop and maintain user-friendly training materials, job aids, and reference products* Present work products and information to clients in meetings and facilitate discussions on those items* Collaborate with a team to develop solutions to solve organizational challenges for a government client leading major unification initiatives* Develop project management artifacts such as decision trackers, meeting summaries, and status reports* Identify and manage project risks and issues* Work with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budget**What You Will Need:** * Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust; Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred* Must be a US Citizen due to nature of client engagements* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university* One (1) to Three (3) years of management consulting experience, preferably within the public sector strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills* Strong attention to detail, well-organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities* Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel* Ability to travel* Ability to work in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office**What Would Be Nice To Have:** * PMP or other project or program management certification* Experience developing and maintaining formal documentation* Experience working with Federal, state, or local transportation organizations* Experience working with the Federal governmentThe annual salary range for this position is $74,000.00-$124,000.00.
