Job summary

ISG in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Transportation Construction Technician to join our Transportation team. This field-based role will be out in the field with contractors, helping ensure projects are built correctly and making real-time decisions on roads that communities rely on.

You will learn from seasoned leaders and collaborate with WisDOT, County and City clients across Wisconsin. The job requires travel to job sites, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to grow.

Qualifications

Strong problem-solving ability and collaborative mindset.
Experience with WisDOT standards and Civil 3D is a plus.
Willingness to learn; proven track record and solid references are essential.

Conduct professional meetings including pre-construction, public information and weekly construction meetings
Perform civil engineering calculations; prepare engineering plans, designs and reports and construction oversight including inspection when needed
Serve as a liaison with clients, government and regulatory authorities and contractors
Deliver project documents within prescribed budgetary and time constraints while satisfying client requirements
Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth
Prioritize overall project management and ensure successful project delivery
Assist with functional and detailed design of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects when in the office

Description

Ready for a new challenge, but not a desk job? ISG is hiring a Transportation Construction Technician to join our growing Transportation team.

If you're a skilled trades professional who enjoys working with your hands, solving problems on the fly, and seeing the results of your work every day, a career as a Transportation Construction Technician could be the perfect next step. Every day is different: you'll be out in the field, working alongside contractors, ensuring projects are built correctly, and making real‑time decisions to help build and maintain the roads communities rely on.

Our Transportation and team serves WisDOT, County, and City clients throughout Wisconsin and are comprised of folks in our La Crosse, Green Bay and Brookfield offices. We are a full-service, multi-disciplinary team, who perform award‑winning work in planning, design, survey, and construction.

You will learn from our Construction Administration leader in Eastern Wisconsin, Heath Hagner, P.E., who brings nearly 25+ years of experience in the Wisconsin transportation industry, including working in multiple WisDOT Regions and cities. You will also work closely with Joel Goodenough, Senior Project Manager, who has a superior knowledge of standards and exceptional customer service, allowing him to thrive while working on some of the largest and most complex projects in Western Wisconsin.

Essential Duties

Our Transportation Construction Technicians are responsible for the following:
