Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Morgantown, WV is seeking an experienced Transportation Construction Manager to oversee large-scale WVDOT and local government projects. You will lead a construction staff, manage field and office activities, and ensure contract compliance on design‑bid‑build and design‑build efforts.

The role requires strong knowledge of roadway/bridge construction, CPM scheduling, and the ability to coordinate with engineers, owners, and field teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field with 7 years of relevant experience OR AS in Engineering/Construction with 10 years of experience.
• Experience with roadway and bridge construction and inspection/management.
• Experience with design-build projects and CPM scheduling preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction activities in the field and office.
• Lead and mentor construction staff to meet project standards.
• Interpret and enforce contract plans, specs, and shop drawings.
• Maintain construction records and contract compliance.
• Review contractor schedules (CPM) and progress updates.
• Coordinate and conduct project meetings and communications.
