Qualifications

• Applicant must possess a minimum of 4+ years of construction inspection experience.
• Certification possibilities listed include SCDOT Earthwork/Drainage/Base Course Technician, SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Technician, ACI Field Level I, SCDOT Concrete certifications, erosion control, foundations, pavement preservation and traffic control design.
• Ability to obtain listed certifications within 6 months and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Apply safety philosophy to all job responsibilities and work safely outdoors.
• Monitor contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
• Establish engineering controls for the construction contractor and inspection of the work.
• Prepare daily inspection reports.
• Perform on-site material testing and sampling.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Communicate effectively with project staff and clients.

4+ years of construction inspection experience

SCDOT Earthwork, Drainage and Base Course Technician

SCDOT Asphalt Roadway Technician

ACI Field Level I

SCDOT Level I & II Concrete Certified

Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector

SCDOT Foundations

SCDOT Pavement Preservation, Seal Coat, Micro/Slurry, Concrete Pavement
