Evergreen Opportunity: We are continuously accepting applications for this role for potential future openings. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

About The Role

In this role, you will oversee highway and bridge construction projects across New Jersey and the NYC Metro Area, ensuring compliance with standards, specifications, and regulations. Office engineer duties are also part of this role. Work schedule varies, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections of highway/bridge projects for compliance and safety.
  • Monitor and document construction progress, deviations, and issues.
  • Coordinate with project team members and contractors.
  • Review plans, blueprints, and specifications for accuracy.
  • Prepare inspection reports and daily records.
  • Maintain records of quantities, costs, and weekly summaries.
  • Assist in developing quality control procedures.
  • Review traffic protection procedures.
  • Attend meetings as needed.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 1-3 years experience in construction inspection, especially transportation projects.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Preferred:

  • NJSAT, ACI Grade-I, TCC/TCP Certifications.
  • NICET I or II certification (to be obtained within 6 months if not already held).
