ATCS, Inc. is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors (all levels) to join our Bristol District team in the Bristol, VA area. Candidates with VA construction management or inspection experience and VDOT certifications are encouraged to apply.

Duties include performing roadway and bridge inspections, writing daily progress reports, overseeing contractor work, and ensuring compliance with contract documents. Training for Trainees is available; seniors are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Varying levels of contractor or inspection experience in roadway construction with VDOT desired
• 0-3 years for Inspection Trainee candidates
• 3-6 years of experience for Inspector candidates
• 6+ years of experience for Senior Inspector candidates

Responsabilités

• Perform transportation construction inspections on Highway, Bridges, Environmental, Traffic, and Facilities type projects
• Write daily progress reports
• Oversight of contractor work crews to ensure compliance with contract documents and safe practices
• Perform field tests on materials (concrete slump/air, soil compaction, and HMA)
• Complete documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustments
• Report on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer via standardized reporting and determine pay quantities
