ATCS, Inc. is seeking Inspectors and Senior Inspectors for the Culpeper District in Charlottesville, VA and surrounding areas to perform transportation construction inspections on highways and bridges and ensure compliance with contract documents.
The role requires knowledge of VDOT standards, OSHA safety, and field testing; offers overtime, a target 2% annual bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package starting on the first day of employment.
Competenze
- 3–6 years of Inspector experience in roadway construction
- 6+ years for Senior Inspector
- Knowledge of VDOT Road and Bridges specs
- OSHA safety requirements on road projects
- Ability to read algebra/geometry/trigonometry
- Proficiency with field testing equipment
Mansioni
- Perform transportation construction inspections on highways and bridges
- Write daily progress reports
- Oversee contractor work crews and ensure contract compliance
- Perform field tests on concrete slump/air, soils and HMA
- Document materials, labor, safety, processing estimates, work orders and adjustments
- Report on-site activities and progress to the Project Engineer and determine pay quantities
