Job summary

Tallgrass Healthcare Campus in Junction City, KS is seeking a full-time Transportation CNA to support after-hospital rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care. You will perform duties per facility policies, transport residents safely, and coordinate with other departments to meet transport needs.

Requirements include active KS CNA certification, CPR for Health Care Providers, a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the state of Kansas.
• Must have current CPR for Health Care Providers.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must possess a clean driving record.
• Must have excellent time management skills and be able to work within deadlines.
• Must maintain a courteous, friendly attitude with residents and staff.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned per facility policies and safety rules.
• Inspect the vehicle before each shift.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance per guidelines.
• Ensure resident safety during transport and proper securing during travel.
• Transport residents safely following vehicle codes and guidelines.
• Coordinate transportation with other departments.

Tallgrass Healthcare Campus, a full-service elder care community located in Junction City, is seeking a full-time dedicated Transportation CNA. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility’s established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures and safety rules and regulations.

• Inspect the vehicles each shift prior to the first transportation.

• Assists in ensuring the facility vehicle’s maintenance is completed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and as needed on a routine basis.

• Perform all safety measures to ensure resident safety during transportations.

• Ensures residents are transported in a safe manner, following all vehicle code requirements and posted guidelines.

• Ensures residents are properly secured prior to and during transportation.

• May assist resident with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.

• May assist residents with or performs activities of daily living for resident in accordance with care plans and established policies and procedures.

• Coordinate transportation needs and requests with other departments in a courteous and timely manner.

• Reports changes in a resident’s condition to the resident’s nurse and supervisor.

• Perform other nursing duties as assigned by nursing management
