Job Overview

We are seeking a Transportation Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Civil Engineering Transportation Design team at Ardmore Roderick. The ideal candidate enjoys roadway design, project coordination, and client interaction. You will join a team of infrastructure experts working to meet evolving client needs.

This position can be located in either our Chicago or Downers Grove, IL offices, with a schedule of three days in the office and two days virtual most of the time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage team to successfully deliver projects according to client expectations
2. Manage project schedules and budgets
3. Coordinate with clients and subconsultants
4. Collaborate on proposal development
5. Support less experienced engineers with technical guidance and skill development

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
2. At least 15 years of experience in civil transportation design projects
3. Experience with phase I/II design and project management for clients like IDOT, Tollway, CDOT, and others
4. PE license in IL
5. Ability to prepare designs if staffing necessitates
6. Proficiency with MicroStation and ProjectWise
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, and/or Adobe
8. Strong communication and organizational skills
9. Team player mindset

Preferred Qualifications

1. Advanced degrees
2. Familiarity with Open Roads and proposal preparation
3. Experience with project reports, plans, specifications, and estimates for municipal clients
4. CFM or PTOE licenses

Salary Range: $125,010 - $164,944 (based on experience and location)
