Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking an As Needed Transportation CNA to transport residents to physician and dental appointments, X-ray sessions, and activities at 201 Franklin Farms Lane, Chambersburg, PA. The role supports a compassionate, family‑oriented team within a skilled nursing facility.

Candidates must hold an active PA CNA license and a High School Diploma/GED. Reliability, timeliness, friendliness, strong phone skills and superb customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Active PA CNA license is required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dependable, timely and friendly with excellent customer service.
• Must pass post-offer background check and physical/drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation of residents to medical appointments and activities.
• Assist residents entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Use protective clothing when handling infectious waste or bodily fluids.
• Ensure emergency equipment is ready and in good condition.
• Move and arrange equipment to prepare facility vehicles for trips.
• Coordinate with Recreation Director and Facility staff for transport to scheduled events and appointments.

Laurel Lakes Rehab and Wellness Center is a Skilled Nursing Facility with a supportive family environment, and is actively looking for an As Needed Transportation CNA!

Transforming traditional \"nursing homes\" into skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities is the focus at Laurel Lakes. We are fully committed to providing compassionate, family-oriented short and long-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care. We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic candidates to join our exceptional team of caregivers!

The primary purpose of your position is to assist in transportation for residents from the Facility to physician offices, dental appointments, eye doctor appointments, audiology appointments; and for treatments, x-rays, MRIs and CAT scans.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Transportation CNA:

• Coordinate with Recreation Director and Recreation Assistantregardingtransporting residents to scheduled activities.
  
  
  • Coordinate with Facility medical and nursing personnel regarding transporting residents to scheduled medical appointments.
  
  


• Use protective clothing or devices when handling infectious waste and/or blood/body fluids.


• Ensure that emergency equipment (i.e. triangles, fire extinguisher, and first-aid kit) are available and in good working condition.


• Use supplies in an efficient manner to avoid waste.


• Assist in the moving and arranging of equipment and supplies to assure that the Facility's vehicle are ready for scheduled appointments and activities.


• Assistresidents entering and exiting the Facility's vehicle

Requirements of the Transportation CNA:

• Must have an active CNA license in PA


• Must have a high school diploma/GED


• Must be dependable, timely, friendly, good phone skills, and have excellent customer service.


• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.


• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen
