Job summary

JMT, a 100% employee-owned engineering firm, seeks a draftsman to convert sketches into drawings using AutoCAD or Microstation. You will perform basic engineering calculations, revise drawings, and prepare exhibits for reports or meetings.

Requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and ability to pass background checks. Immigration sponsorship is not available beyond TN visa eligibility. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to pass Background Check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
• Knowledge of design and drafting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Transfer engineering sketches and details to plans utilizing AutoCAD or Microstation.
• Makes basic engineering computations and prepares and revises specifications.
• Make quality control corrections to contract drawings.
• Prepare exhibits for reports, public meetings or presentations.
