Job summary

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) seeks a data analytics professional to support analytics, data modeling, and forecasting across the Transportation Business Unit. You will leverage statistical methods, predictive modeling, and AI-driven approaches to optimize parking, transportation, and customer experience.

You will maintain dashboards in Tableau and Power BI, automate data workflows with Python and SQL, and present insights to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business or related field.
• Three (3) plus years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, business planning, or quantitative analysis.
• Equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience may be substituted.

Job Overview

Under general direction of Transportation Business leadership, supports analytics, data modeling, and forecasting efforts to optimize traffic, transportation, and parking operations across the Transportation Business Unit (TBU). Utilizes statistical and quantitative analysis, predictive modeling, and other data science methodologies to inform operational decisions that enhance customer experience and strengthen daily airport operations

What You Will Be Doing

• Supports the development and application of advanced quantitative analyses, predictive modeling, and AI-driven forecasting to assess and optimize parking and transportation operations.
• Supports parking and transportation operations by maintaining a holistic understanding of business risks and opportunities, and leverages technology to help the team improve efficiency and maintain competitive advantage.
• Maintains dynamic dashboards and reporting tools using software such as Tableau, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools to provide real-time operational insights.
• Automates data processing and analytics workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability, utilizing Python, R, SQL, or other cloud-based data solutions.
• Conducts market and financial trend analysis to forecast business activity and generate strategic models and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Leverages business intelligence tools and quantitative data from multiple sources to manage trend analysis, forecasts, market share analysis, and customer experience at the Airport and in the industry.
• Collaborates with DFW Information Technology Services (ITS) to develop and manage the reporting of parking and transportation related data.
• Assists with maintaining data integrity and reliable data pipelines, by collaborating within the Transportation Business unit in maintaining data governance as a TBU Data Steward.
• Prepares and delivers presentations and reports on analytical findings and strategic insights, while incorporating automation, developing forecasts, and managing data quality.
• Collaborates with teams across the airport to integrate analytics-driven strategies into operational planning and execution, while supporting junior analysts in fostering a data-driven culture within the Transportation Business Unit.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business or related field.
• Three (3) plus years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, business planning, or quantitative analysis or research, preferably in a transportation, parking, or operations-focused environment.
• Any equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques such as regression models, time series forecasting, decision trees, and neural networks, to solve problems.
• Skill in designing and implementing automated data reporting and monitoring solutions.
• Skill in problem-solving with an aptitude for leveraging data to optimize business processes and operational efficiency.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and clearly communicate and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across airport departments, including executives.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both inside and outside the organization.

Desirable

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience working with parking, transportation, or airport operations analytics.
• Hands-on experience with time series modeling, reinforcement learning, or advanced optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for big data analytics.
• Skill in Python, R (including Shiny), SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy).
• Skill in data engineering, including experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience in developing predictive business models with operational or economic data.
• Experience in integrating AI/ML solutions into business intelligence workflows.
