Responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound trucks and small package shipments to ensure timely, accurate delivery.
• Negotiate with and audit carriers; manage rate negotiations and freight invoices.
• Maintain data accuracy between Piyovi (TMS) and Rubicon (ERP).
• Prepare international shipping documents (SLI/SEDs) and packaging standards.
• Implement shipping process improvements and proactive shipping strategies.

Job Summary

The Transportation Associate aids in the coordinating and scheduling of safe transportation of our products, regularly negotiating with, and auditing carriers, and communicating with suppliers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Coordination with Outbound Trucks and Small Package teams to ensure timely, accurate shipment
• Freight method confirmation with Sales and Order Management (including revenue driving PPA opportunities)
• Monitoring SEA inbound shipments through the [e-mail] email
• Making sure Data between Piyovi (TMS) and Rubicon (ERP) is accurate
• Freight invoice auditing, discrepancy resolutions, and payment approvals
• Filing and tracking shipment claims, including video and packaging research
• Managing carrier relationships and rate negotiations
• Export control and employee training
• Cross-team communication and report generation
• Implementation of shipping process improvements /Local shipments
• Packaging standards across shipping commodities and cost savings
• Freight shipment entry into Piyovi and customer systems
• Communication with Sales and Freight Forwarders
• Preparation of international documents (SLI/SEDs)
• Packaging and damage prevention standards
• Transitioning current collect customers to PPA (Prepay and Add)
• Ongoing projects with automation and proactive shipping strategies

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s degree in transportation management, logistics, project management, or similar preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal collaboration skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to effectively interact with a variety of personnel at all organizational levels

Physical Requirements

• Ability to squat, bend, and lift. Can lift 5-15 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary
