Job summary

Olgoonik Corporation is seeking a Transportation Assistant to coordinate material movement, prepare cargo labels, and monitor domestic shipments from pickup to destination. The role is 1st shift, temporary, Monday–Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and emphasizes accurate reporting and secure handling of goods in transit.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or higher and preferably DLA experience, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares staging labels to be placed on cargo, ensuring it is loaded in the proper equipment.
• Assigns seal numbers to each domestic shipment to ensure the cargo is secure and not tampered with while in transit.
• Monitors shipment from time the driver leaves the warehouse until receipt of shipment at destination.
• Processed Bill of landing is signed once the bolted seal is placed in the door of the equipment.
• Ensures that all domestic shipments are noted in the weekly, monthly, and yearly reports.
• Maintains spreadsheet on domestic shipment reports for accountability.
• Signs proof of delivery from the receiver on the delivery date.

Education And/or Experience

• Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) experience preferred.

• Ability to operate skid steer, backhoe, mini-excavator, loader, trencher, etc.
