Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking Transportation Area Managers to support nationwide operations, including Colorado Springs. You will collaborate with site leadership, lead Transportation Associates, and drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

This role requires 2+ years in people management, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (or 2+ years Amazon experience), and a flexible schedule including weekends or nights. Lean/Six Sigma experience is preferred and strong customer service is essential.

  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
  • Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
  • Experience with process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma).
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
  • Industry experience in retail, F&B, military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production or distribution environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with site leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics, including root cause analysis of problem areas.
  • Streamline logistics in the operation through the implementation of standard work and team leadership.
  • Support and commit to all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
  • You and your team are responsible for Amazon customers receiving their orders, ensuring trained people address needs and mentorship of hourly workforce.
  • Lead change at internet speed to support Amazon’s global operations.

Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises. In addition, one of the most important aspects of your job is to lead change at internet speed because innovation has made us the global company that we are today.

Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
