Job summary

Amazon is seeking Transportation Area Managers to support operations across the country from our MD/Hagerstown location, driving safety, quality, and customer delivery performance. You will lead hourly teams, implement standard work, and push Lean initiatives while ensuring OSHA compliance and a safe work environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in people and performance management, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and flexibility to work weekends/nights/holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing teams of 20 people or greater.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen).
• Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience relevant experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.

You and your team of Transportation Associates are responsible for Amazon customers receiving their orders. Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises. In addition, one of the most important aspects of your job is to lead change at internet speed because innovation has made us the global company that we are today.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
