Metro Associates is seeking a Transportation & Highway Technical Manager to provide senior technical leadership on highway and roadway design projects across Upstate New York. The role focuses on leading design efforts, guiding engineering staff, and delivering high-quality project outcomes for NYSDOT and local municipalities.

The candidate should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering with 8–15 years in transportation projects, and preferably a PE license.

Competenze

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 8-15 years’ experience in transportation, roadway, or highway engineering.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain it.
• Prior staff management preferred.

Transportation & Highway Technical Manager – Civil Engineering

our client is seeking a Transportation & Highway Technical Manager / Civil Engineer to provide senior-level technical leadership on highway and roadway design projects throughout Upstate New York. This role is ideal for an experienced Civil Engineer or Transportation Engineer who is passionate about transportation infrastructure, roadway design, and mentoring engineering teams.

As a Technical Manager, you will lead hands-on highway and roadway design, guide engineering staff, and ensure high-quality project delivery for clients including NYSDOT and local municipalities.

• Stay current with transportation design trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into project solutions.
• Contribute to the organization's technical strategy and help forecast future technical needs.

What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Transportation & Highway Technical Manager

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
• 8-15 years’ experience in transportation, roadway, or highway engineering
• Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
• Prior staff management preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation preferred
• Familiarity with NYSDOTdesign standards preferred
