What You’ll Do
The Transportation Analytics Manager is responsible for enhancing the efficiency and performance of the Transportation group. Reporting to the Vice President of Transportation, this role will develop and leverage data-driven insights to optimize fleet and driver utilization while ensuring regulatory compliance.
In addition to the core responsibilities listed below, the Manager will work closely with operations and finance to identify cost-saving opportunities and lead the development of steady-state transportation reporting post-ERP implementation. Success in this role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial and analytical skills, the ability to translate data into actionable improvements, and a deep understanding of the cost, performance, and safety drivers in transportation operations.

Location: The person in this role will work remotely and must sit in one of the following states: CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV. Other locations are not eligible at this time.

Travel: Up to 25% nationwide travel annually is required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Cost & Financial Alignment: Analyze excess spend, uncover savings opportunities, and recommend cost-reduction strategies.
  2. Data-Driven Decision Making: Design and maintain transportation KPIs and weekly dashboards to track efficiency, cost savings, and service improvements.
  3. Fleet & Route Optimization: Develop site-specific route plans to maximize fleet efficiency and optimize driver staffing.
  4. Driver Performance & Staffing: Create driver-specific route plans and performance goals while maintaining a driver staffing matrix.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with Transportation leadership to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Analytics, Finance, or related fields (or equivalent work experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in FP&A, transportation, fleet management, or supply chain management with increasing responsibility.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement equipment cycle planning, policies, and training programs.
  • Strong data analytics and financial analysis skills, with experience optimizing transportation performance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision in a remote/hybrid environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems, routing software, and transportation management systems (TMS).
