Qualifications

• Identify, measure and manage key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with customer service, plant/DC personnel, and carriers to resolve service issues.
• May be on call and participate in Saturday rotations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation

Salary: Your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. We anticipate this role to pay a minimum salary of $58,000 per year, but actual base pay will depend on the successful candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience

Position Overview

The Transportation Analyst is responsible for overseeing the transportation process for various customer products from pick-up to delivery, ensuring the accuracy of load information, and collaborating with both internal and external resources to troubleshoot issues and ensure resolution in a timely manner. The Analyst communicates daily with Carrier Management, Customer Service, and the distribution network. This position requires a strategic thinker and problem solver to support both carriers and customers on a daily basis to ensure operational excellence.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; Specialization in Logistics, Transportation or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in Transportation.
• Knowledge of applicable Transportation regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; Specialization in Logistics, Transportation or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
• Experience working in a transportation management system (TMS) is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk while working on a computer
• Use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, and telephone
• Speak and hear clearly in person, virtually, and over the phone
• Occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, or lift up to 10 pounds

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and printers.

The work environment is typically quiet to moderate in noise level and is climate controlled.

Location/Remote Eligibility

This is a hybrid role based out of our (Des Plaines, IL) office. Regular, on-site presence is required (4) days per week or as otherwise directed by the company.
