The G-4 Transportation Services (TS) Branch is responsible for the policy, planning, budgeting, and execution of Garrison Mobile Equipment (GME) and Non-Tactical Vehicle (NTV) programs across the Marine Corps. This includes managing procurement and operations of commercial transportation assets such as passenger vehicles, cargo vehicles, engineering equipment, and material handling gear. The branch also supports energy efficiency initiatives in line with federal mandates and plays a key role in maintaining transportation readiness across Marine Corps installations and Marine Forces Reserves. Support efforts may include data analysis, policy updates, program audits, training, and logistical planning for transportation services. The work supports the broader goals of operational readiness, cost efficiency, and strategic alignment with Department of the Navy and federal energy and transportation goals.


Required Skills
  • Financial and Operational Data Analysis
  • Perform life-cycle cost analysis, readiness cost comparisons, and maintenance cost evaluations using data from Fleet -Management Information System (FMIS) Fleet Focus.
  • Analyze reports on fuel consumption, vehicle utilization, and other key transportation metrics.
  • Policy and Documentation Review
  • Conduct reviews and propose updates to policies, orders, and directives that govern transportation programs.
  • Provide well-documented written reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Program Support & Task Management
  • Utilize Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) and Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) for internal task tracking and communication.
  • Record findings and post-audit analysis as part of Audit, Assistance, and Training Programs.
  • Meeting & Conference Coordination
  • Provide full-cycle support for events including planning, coordination, and after-action reporting for government and inter-agency transportation-related gatherings.
Desired Skills
  • Common Output Levels of Service (COLS) Development
  • Support the research, preparation, and ongoing management of COLS metrics for transportation services to ensure standardized output measurement and improvement.
  • Training and Post-Audit Analysis
  • Assist in delivering training and analyzing audit results for continuous improvement in TS program operations. Energy and Sustainability Awareness
  • Familiarity with Legislative, Presidential, and DoN energy mandates and how transportation operations can align with these sustainability goals.
  • Strategic Communication and Coordination
  • Experience coordinating across Marine Corps installations and Reserves, aligning transportation programs with command-level logistics strategies.
  • Conference Support Experience
  • Capable of managing event logistics including approval

$75,000 - $85,000 a year

At Significance, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.

We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
