Job summary

Worthington Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is actively recruiting a Transportation Assistant to join our Parkersburg team. This full-time role pays $16/hour and supports residents by transporting them to and from physician visits and in-house activities, while maintaining safety and quality of care.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, a valid state driver's license, and CNA training or eligibility, plus Red Cross First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible to enroll and complete within 120 days.
• Red Cross First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Transport and assist residents to outside physician visits safely.
• Assist with transporting residents within the facility to scheduled appointments.
• Transport residents to and from in-house activities.
• Provide one-on-one monitoring for elopement risks during outside visits.
• Perform basic nursing care procedures as required.
• Maintain resident documentation and follow policies and safety standards.

Job Address:2675 36th Street Parkersburg, WV 26104Worthington Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies is currently recruiting for a Transportation Assistant to join our team.Full TimeRate: $16/hourPURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT:The position of Transportation Assistant exists to assist residents with transportation to and from inside facility and outside physician appointments and events in a safe manner and in accordance with established procedures. This position must work effectively with team members in ensuring that work is accomplished and quality care is delivered, supporting their team members and celebrating team successes. While focusing on delivering quality resident care, the position must also manage the resources that are available to them in their job.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESTransport and assist residents, per facility vehicle, to outside physician visits in a safe manner.Assist with transporting residents within the facility to scheduled specialty appointments, i.e. podiatry, audiology, optometry, dental, etc.Assist with transporting residents to and from scheduled in-house activities.Provide one on one monitoring for residents deemed an elopement risk on outside visits.Perform basic nursing care procedures for residents as required.Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and assure that their needs are met.Maintain resident documentation records.Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain certification and enhance quality of care.Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh school graduate or G. E.
