Job summary

Majestic Care of West Allen is seeking a Transportation Aide to safely transport residents to and from activities and appointments, while maintaining logs and ensuring passenger safety.

You will operate the facility vehicle, assist residents on/off the vehicle, monitor vehicle safety, and report issues to the Executive Director. CPR certification and CNA certification are required, and candidates must be at least 21.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Excellent driving record.
• Must be CPR Certified, certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing
• Certified Nursing Assistant certificate current and in good standing; CNA certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the facility’s vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents.
• Assists the residents when on-boarding and off-boarding the vehicle.
• Ensures the residents’ safe arrival to the pre-determined destination and the facility.
• Maintains route and mileage logs.
• Monitors routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluid levels.
• Reports any vehicle problems, or maintenance needs to the Executive Director immediately.
• Ensures that all vehicle passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, prior to moving the van.
• Interacts in a positive manner with the residents and visitors as a representative of the facility.

Position Overview:

The Transportation Aide is responsible for the safe transportation of residents to and from the facility during approved activities to pre-determined destinations
