Job summary

St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center, part of St. Joseph’s Health, seeks a Patient Transport team member to move patients between testing and treatment areas, handle STAT requests, and assist with discharges.

Job Description

Performs delegated functions as a member of the Patient Transport Department to provide the following services: transport patients to and from testing or treatment areas, STAT requests for specimens and patients, discharge patients to designated areas, transport of outpatients to inpatient and testing areas, and other delivery services utilizing the Transport Tracking System.

Qualifications

High School diploma preferred. No previous work experience required. Work requires the ability to read and understand written instruction. CPR certificate must be obtained within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.


Effective January 2019, St. Joseph’s Health requires all employee certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
