Job summary

MCT Companies is seeking an experienced technician to install and service Transport Refrigeration Units and Auxiliary Powered Units on trucks and trailers. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance to ensure unit readiness and reliability.

The role includes on-call rotations and a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and delivering quality service. Ideal candidates possess technical/mechanical aptitude, a valid CDL, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while

Qualifications

• Aptitude in a technical and mechanical role and willingness to learn about Transport Refrigeration Units(TRU’s), APU’s and trailer equipment.
• Capacity to demonstrate technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, materials, methods and tools to perform, prioritize and complete work.
• Utilize critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities, and exercises good judgment when completing tasks in an efficient, correct and productive manner.
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license or commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Coordinate tools, resources and equipment to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Active listening skills and commitment to perform quality service.

Responsibilities

• Installs new refrigeration units in a timely and proficient manner.
• Determines unit condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn and/or damaged parts.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance schedules and upgrades.
• Verifies unit performance by conducting system tests and troubleshooting.
• Completes Repair Orders and enters data at the time of repair.
• Adheres to OSHA standards and PPE requirements.
• Participates in training and educational opportunities provided by the company.
• Performs other duties as requested by management.
