Job Description:
Transport/IP (TR/IP) NOC Technician
Location: Scott Air Force Base, Illinois
Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
This position supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) by providing services for the Defense Information System Network (DISN). The role is situated in the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC) and involves supporting a contract for global operations and sustainment of the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN/DISN).
Certification: Must hold a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent) by the start date.
Experience: Candidates must have demonstrated experience in alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management. Proficiency is required in at least two of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, or Optical Switching. A general understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP, is necessary.
Availability: Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment is required.
