A leading company is seeking a skilled Transport Engineer to join their wireless team. This hybrid role involves project management and engineering tasks related to circuit provisioning and network rollout for 5G technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in transport engineering and vendor management, alongside a solid understanding of telecom products and processes. The position offers a competitive pay range and requires collaboration with various teams to ensure project success.
Our client is seeking a skilled Transport Engineer to support their large Build Plans within their wireless team. This role involves initiatives such as CBAND (Spectrum Upgrades), SNAP (Equipment swaps), and overall New Builds. A technical background is essential, particularly in Circuit and Fiber Provisioning. The position also entails significant Project Management duties, including standardizing workflows for processes and procedures, data extraction and evaluation, and ASR processing and ordering with TELCO Vendors across the footprint. Responsibilities include creating assignments, building pathways, and coordinating with various internal and external teams to ensure project completion.
This role requires extensive experience in transport engineering, strong project management skills, and excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities. The candidate will develop a monthly interconnect implementation plan supporting macro, in-building, small cell, self-perform/third-party, ODAS, SNAP (Samsung), LS6, 5G, CRAN, VRAN, and MEC build targets.
The transport team handles creating, designing, and issuing CIQs (IP/Ports assignments), engineering new cells, trunks, and switch growth, as well as circuit ordering and carrier additions. The candidate must understand carrier-specific Telecom products such as Native Ethernet, VZON, TLS, and Dark Fiber, along with IOF and OSP Provisioning processes.
Required skills include vendor management, ASR, TDM, Ethernet, Dark Fiber, equipment design, RFDS, circuit provisioning, wireless networks, and familiarity with Samsung, Nokia, Alcatel-Lucent technologies, ZING, and Netcracker. Additional qualifications encompass proficiency with Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets/Docs), database management, project tracking, troubleshooting, and wireless engineering knowledge.

Pay Range: $45.00 - $60.00/hr
