Job summary

SSC Services for Education is hiring a full-time Transport Driver to operate a company-owned vehicle on an established route at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA. The role requires 2 years of prior transport driver experience and offers a fixed pay rate.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with potential openings at other locations within the school district. Benefits, training, and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills to meet a wide range of needs.
• Valid driver's license, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws.

Responsibilities

• Responds to transport requests with a sense of urgency, meeting time delivery goals.
• Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
• Completes necessary logs and reports.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Resolves or reports vehicle, building, security, or safety issues to management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• We are hiring immediately for full time TRANSPORT DRIVER positions.
• Location: Virginia Commonwealth University - 827 West Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23284. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule; Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: 2 years of prior transport driver experience is required.
• Fixed Pay Rate: $19.80 per hour.
