The Center at Eden Hill is seeking a Transport Driver to safely move residents to appointments and provide excellent customer service. You will support care teams by managing patient transport needs and ensuring equipment is ready for each visit.

Responsibilities include route planning, equipment maintenance, transfers, and compliance with safety standards. A CNA license and a valid Delaware driver license are required.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must stand, walk, stoop and crouch repetitively.
• Must be able to push 200 lbs for long distances.
• Must lift bulky items up to 100 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsabilidades

• Transport residents to appointments and back, ensuring safety and patient care.
• Provide quality customer service and support to care teams.
• Plan routes and manage transport equipment and documentation.
• Assist with transfers and use medical equipment as needed (oxygen, gurneys, etc.).
• Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures.

Job Description

The Transport Driver is responsible for safely transporting facility residents to and from appointments, providing quality customer service and helping to set the tone for the level of care residents will receive at The Center.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport Driver Reviews patient information prior to appointment in order to determine patient needs. Verifies all information with nursing staff as necessary.
• Implements customer-service standards, resolves problems, and determines & completes patient transportation system improvements.
• Transport Driver Stays with patient at appointments to provide assistance upon request.
• Enters orders for appointments and transportation and retrieves/sends diagnostic labs needed for appointment.
• Determines best route to and from appointments prior to the departing time, along with equipment required to load and unload patient.
• Transport Driver Keeps equipment operating by establishing and enforcing operating and preventative maintenance rules; arranges for repairs, oil changes, etc.
• Provides and troubleshoots medical equipment needed for patient transport, including but not limited to oxygen, wheelchairs, gurneys, and IVs.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations.
• Transport new admissions and occasional discharges.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license valid for the state of Delaware
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop and crouch repetitively
• Must be able to push a minimum of 200lbs for a long distance
• Must be able to lift bulky heavy items up to 100lbs
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver license
• Must possess and maintain a clean driving record
• Must be able to speak, read and write the English language
