Job summary

Borden Dairy in Dalton, GA is seeking a dependable CDL Driver to safely load, transport, and deliver dairy products to customer locations. You will operate company trucks on established routes, manage proofs of delivery, and maintain inventory and paperwork with accuracy.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement, DOT-compliant medical certificate, and at least one year of experience. Overtime, weekends, and varying shifts are expected as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A CDL with Air Brake endorsement.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with FMCSA Part 391.41.
• Minimum 1 year of Class A CDL driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Manual transmission experience required.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and unload products at designated customer locations.
• Operate a commercial vehicle along established routes to deliver, stock, and stage products.
• Set up promotional displays and deliver marketing materials as needed.
• Verify shipment accuracy and ensure product is in saleable condition upon delivery.
• Address and resolve customer concerns or discrepancies professionally.
• Collect empty containers, returns, and unsold merchandise for processing.
• Complete daily inventory, delivery invoices, and proof of delivery documentation.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Assist with basic truck maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle activity as required by DOT.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a customer-first attitude at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least21 years of age.
• Manual transmission experience required(no automatic restrictions).
• Prior experience in food/beverage delivery and customer service preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, and bending.
• Ability to routinely lift over60 poundsand push/pull up to300 poundsusing a hand-held hook.
• Must be physically capable of performing all job duties safely and efficiently.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, includinghot and cold environments, both indoors and outdoors.
• Work performed onrefrigerated trucksand in warehouse settings.
