Job summary

Borden Dairy Company in Dalton, GA is seeking a Class A CDL truck driver to join Elsie’s herd on a full-time basis. You will safely load, transport, and deliver dairy products to customer locations along established routes.

The role requires a valid CDL with air brake endorsement, a year of Class A driving, and the ability to work independently, weekends and holidays as needed. You’ll perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery records.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL with Air Brake endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of Class A driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Manual transmission experience required.
• Food/beverage delivery or customer service preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently and overtime/weekends.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely load, transport, and unload products at designated customer locations.
• Operate a commercial vehicle along established routes to deliver, stock, and stage products.
• Set up promotional displays and deliver marketing materials as needed.
• Verify shipment accuracy and ensure product is in saleable condition upon delivery.
• Address and resolve customer concerns or discrepancies in a professional manner.
• Collect empty containers, returns, and unsold merchandise for processing.
• Complete daily inventory, delivery invoices, and proof of delivery documentation.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Assist with basic truck maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle activity as required by DOT.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a customer‑first attitude at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ValidClass A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)with Air Brake endorsement.
• ValidMedical Examiner’s Certificatein accordance with FMCSA Part 391.41.
• Minimum1 year of Class A commercial driving experiencerequired.
• Must be at least21 years of age.
• Manual transmission experience required(no automatic restrictions).
• Prior experience in food/beverage delivery and customer service preferred.Strong communication, organizational, and basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, and bending.
• Ability to routinely lift over60 poundsand push/pull up to300 poundsusing a hand‑held hook.
• Must be physically capable of performing all job duties safely and efficiently.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, includinghot and cold environments, both indoors and outdoors.
• Work performed onrefrigerated trucksand in warehouse settings.
